Fortunately Reading has fewer covid cases than many other parts of the country so we are not anticipating tighter local lockdown restrictions any time soon, but we appreciate that while Reading may be ok some of the areas our students and lecturers live may not be.
Even in Tier 3 the Government says you can travel in and out of the area for education as a 'commuter student'.

And you can also stay in a hotel so long as you don’t stay with anyone outside your bubble, which would imply a single room is ok.
There may be local restrictions for an area on top of these restrictions so there may be some variations to this.
We will keep the college open for as long as it is safe to do so.
If you exhibit any of the signs (high temperature, persistent cough or loss of taste or smell) please, let me know, stay away from college and get a test as soon as you can. If you are in contact with anyone who has covid within 10 days of you coming into contact with them then please isolate from college for 14 days or until you get a negative test.
Thank to everyone for your cooperation in wearing masks in college and your general support. Please don't hesitate to contact your tutor if you would like academic or pastoral support. They may not be able to help directly, but they can put you in touch with someone that can.
